Ahhhhh *big sigh of relief* we picked our reception venue. It is the courtyard marriot right down the street from where we live. It is modern, comfortable, and very very bright..The search for the perfect venue was an interesting one that is for sure!!!!

Finding one that is accessible for our roommate was the number one priority. This place hit the mark. There are no lips, bumps, etc for him to have to manuever over. The accessible rooms have more than enough space, things are down where he can reach them with ease, the showers are amazing!!! That was a real thumbs up for us!!!!!

The second was it not being too.....stuffy....or dark. A few we looked at were so..dim..it just didn't fit who we were. Since she was working at the time, most of the places that were looked at were by me, my roommate, and the wedding planner. There was a digital camera involved so she could kind of get a feel for it....

When I walked into the courtyard...it was beautiful. It took my breath away. The price wasn't over the top either!! that was a good thing!! A very good thing!!!!! The ballroom that they have is the only one in the building so we don't have to worry about another party going on at the same time!! *phew* I think I would have an issue if it's our first dance and from another room all you can hear is someone elses loud music....

The invitations are starting to fall into place, and we think we may have found a DJ..So all that is left to find is..a photographer..oh boy..what a hard one that is..prices are so expensive for photography!! jeez...

Anyways..there is an update on that!!

(Just getting started)

Well yesterday arrived and it was exciting! Nervous and exciting. We took the hour drive to the Justice of the Peace's house...and officially got married. And I told everyone I would have pictures so I figured I would put a couple up here as well. :):):):):) I am so excited..

Listening as she told us about how we knew and thought about the magic of marriage :) (made us laugh)

I read my vows to her....I thought the expression and emotion on her face was beautiful <3

Reading the end of my vows to her.. (and she said I would be the one crying first hehe)

As the JP read the traditional vows.. I couldn't stop smiling

Hey everyone..sorry I haven't been on much lately....4 days till the actual ceremony...So it has been tying up all the this and thats of it. Granted our reception is not until April of next year..there is still a lot to do for the ceremony..As of sunday at 1130ish I will officially be married!!

So-----we finally found a JP we like and one that is willing to work with us on the price and the date and the fact that it is flying up fast!!! About 3 weeks till our wedding!!AHHH!!! So much going on lately too...

So anyways- the JP does live an hour away but it was so hard to find one near by. Seems there aren't too many in this area! (Actually thinking of looking into becoming a JP for this area myself....Gotta google it)....

As for our reception-thank goodness that is in April of next year. I think if I had to cram anymore things in my day I might explode!!!!!! Looking at venues. Meeting with our planner...Looking up prices for the photographer and DJ. Trying to find the right colors. Wedding favors....The list is long...Getting out the save the date cards...then the invites..gotta get addresses together from everyone that is invited so when it is time to send all this out....we can.

Trying to find a second/other job.......My work is only giving me one or two days a week. And only about 10 hours if I am lucky..AHhhhhhhh How do we pay bills, save for our wedding, keep the car up to date...eat...

I know she makes good money but I don't want her feeling like she is doing it all.......It would be too hard to do...so I want something that will give me even 20 hours would be better than what I am getting now...*sigh*...Ok...Gotta do some more things!

Stress and a JP

Ugh! let me tell you- I never thought trying to plan a simple vow and ring exchange with just her and I would be so difficult. I just got off the phone with one JP that we were talking to and she wants us to do a questionnaire, meet with her, write up an actual 100% ceremony for us to do. She writes it and gives us a copy of our ceremony in a bound book for us to keep (that I actually liked the idea of...) BUT she charges $400 just to do that...I think that is a little out of our price range. We aren't looking for anything fancy smancshy(SP). We aren't extravagant people. She wants to know our religious preference. what our relationship means to eachother, what our future holds, our thoughts on children, etc etc etc..Then she tells me. Oh by the way I am a minister not a justice of the peace and even if it is just the two of you I want to make sure it is 100% special and nice. Which is great..but $400 just for about a half hour? ugh...*sigh*

I figured since it is such an important day in my life. I would share all the information going on for our wedding :):)

Our theme is spring.. Our colors are pink and green ( not babyshower pink...bright pink haha..and like grass green)

We are having a tressel covered in vines with butterflies mixed in it. And a balloon tree and other decorations made out of balloons(Not little kid style but actually really amazing looking techniques...)
Also some homemade tissue paper flowers (martha stewart style)

We have gotten the prices of a couple of places for the reception and really like one that is actually in the same town we live in. (makes it easy for us haha)...and need to tweak it some..

So I just thought I would share some of what is going on. I will keep updating as I go along.
